Mole Removal

Moles are typically benign pigmented growths, but if changes occur, they need to be checked due to the potential for malignancy (melanoma). When you come in for an appointment with our board-certified dermatologists, we'll give you a full assessment of the status of your body's largest organ - your skin. One of the most frequent areas of concern are moles that we notice are:

  • Irregular in shape
  • Raised
  • Changing in size or color

If we see a mole that gives us pause, we'll take a small bit of it for testing - it's important to catch skin cancer in its early stages in order to fight it properly. Then, if we determine that the mole is cancerous or pre-cancerous, we'll perform a simple, in-office procedure to remove the mole.
